After a car veered over the double yellow line, one person suffered back and neck pain and was taken to a hospital. The drunk driving crash that happened in Westwood, involved three cars, one driven by a drunk woman. The accident closed down Kinderkamack Road for a couple hours earlier this week. The first 911 calls about the accident started coming in to the police department around 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a time when you wouldn't expect most people to be consuming alcohol.
Allegedly, the driver of one of the vehicles involved had been consuming alcohol when her vehicle crossed the line, injuring another driver. She was charged with possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia, as well as driving under the influence. Her negligent and illegal actions resulted in one person going to the hospital. The victim of the accident was punished for doing nothing but driving down the road.
The driver of a Parking Authority van was hit as well as another minivan. The Parking Authority driver will not face medical bills, and possible rehabilitation and lost wages because of another person's reckless behavior. When people cause a drunk driving crash in Westwood, they should be held accountable for their actions.
The victim of this accident would be wise to consult with a Westwood personal injury attorney. They may be entitled to compensation for their injuries including hospital bills, future medical costs and lost waged. Each person's situation is unique, but when another driver injures you because of their reckless behavior, it is important that you understand your rights.
